Irony Moderne

Last night I performed in an ironic drama. I wore myself out shovelling away a large plow-packed snowbank, all so that I could go to the gym and work out.

Whereas I stayed inside and watched somebody else shovel snow (in a futile effort to create a parking spot for his car), and didn't even think about going to a gym: irony postmoderne?
