North Hurries West
The earth's magnetic axis is always moving, slowly. But like many things this has accelerated in the past century. The northern magnetic pole generally oscillates between northern Canada, where it is now, and Siberia, and recent research suggests that the movement is currently fast enough to steal the aurora borealis from Alaska in less than fifty years.
