STOP!

STOP!
The Photoblog has ground to a halt, and it's my fault! Neglect! Neglect! OK. Resume speed. I spotted this sign on March 4, 2003 on the way down the narrow, windy, steep dirt road from the 14,000 foot summit of Mauna Kea. I believe the holes are there to reduce wind resistance. You wouldn't want a stop sign blowing off the side of that hill, and what a pain it would be to keep replacing them up there. Oh, that's Mauna Loa in the background, with a sea of clouds in saddle between the peaks.
